About Me & My Approach
Hi, I’m Georgina (she/they) – a fully qualified and registered art psychotherapist from the US based in Nottingham, UK.
As a queer, neurodivergent, and disabled therapist, I get it—constantly explaining your needs can be exhausting. You shouldn’t have to justify how your brain works, defend your health needs, or translate your experience just to be understood.
While everyone’s journey with neurodivergence or chronic illness is unique, some things don’t need explaining here. In this space, the basics are already familiar. Your access needs matter. Your identity is respected. And most importantly? You can just *be*—exactly as you are.
While I specialise in supporting neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and disabled folks, I welcome anyone looking for support. My goal? To offer care that’s as unique as you are—without judgment, without pressure, and with plenty of warmth.
Areas I specialise in:
- Chronic Illness/disability
- Neurodivergence
- LGBTQ+ identity
- Depression & hopelessness
- Self-esteem & anxiety
- Trauma & abuse
- Stress & overwhelm
My approach:
I aim to offer a non-judgmental, anti-oppressive, and deeply human space where people can feel safe, affirmed, and empowered. Therapy should fit you—not the other way around. Let’s figure out what that looks like together.
My Background:
- Supporting young people within alternative provisions
- Supporting neurodivergent adults and children
- Supporting adults and children with learning disabilities
- Supporting adults through sexual assault crisis work
- Supporting young people within substance misuse
- Eating disorder awareness advocate
Qualifications:
- MA Art Therapy - Distinction (University of Derby)
- BA in Interdisciplinary Studio & Performance Art, with minors in Psychology & Social Justice (Hollins University, USA)
